Elizabeth Avila, Esq.

Elizabeth Avila is an associate attorney at Cabanillas & Associates, PC, where she represents clients in immigration proceedings before the Hartford Immigration Court. Born and raised in Queens, New York, she is the daughter of Ecuadorian parents. As a first-generation U.S. citizen, she is driven to advocate for immigrant families and continue to guide them with compassion, respect, and diligence.

Attorney Avila earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Utica University in 2019. She then completed her legal studies at the University of Dayton School of Law, earning a Juris Doctor degree, and was admitted to the Connecticut Bar in 2023. Prior to joining Cabanillas & Associates, PC, she worked for The United Firm | The APC, assisting crime victims who qualify for U nonimmigrant status. She also served as a judicial clerk in the Bridgeport Superior Court, assisting Connecticut judges in drafting motions and legal memoranda related to civil matters.

Attorney Avila is fluent in both English and Spanish, allowing her to connect effectively with her clients and ensure they fully understand the legal process and feel confident in her representation. She is known for her calm and friendly demeanor, as well as her commitment to supporting and defending her clients' interests to achieve the best possible outcome. In her free time, she enjoys practicing Pilates and yoga, and spending time with her family.
