Quenten Elizabeth Gilliam, Esq. is an Associate Litigation Attorney at Cabanillas & Associates, P.C. where she represents borrowers in mediation and drafts motions on behalf of homeowners in foreclosure. Ms. Gilliam is admitted to practice in New York State and New Jersey. At the federal level, she is admitted to practice in the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York as well as the District of New Jersey.
Ms. Gilliam earned her Bachelor of Arts in History from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec and received her Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2012. Ms. Gilliam is a member of the American Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association.
Ms. Gilliam has represented borrowers in all aspects of residential foreclosure. She routinely participates in motion practice in New York and New Jersey as well as appellate practice in New York. Ms. Gilliam also handles referee’s hearings and foreclosure trials. Ms. Gilliam has successfully argued to stay evictions and foreclosure sales in numerous counties across New York and New Jersey.
In addition to foreclosure, Ms. Gilliam also handles real property and contract related actions for Plaintiffs and Defendants such as quiet title actions, partitions and breaches of contract. Ms. Gilliam handles all aspects of this litigation from pleadings, discovery and motions to hearings and settlement negotiations.
