Wendy Weathers, Pro Bono Attorney of the Year

We’re proud to announce that The New York State Bar Association has awarded our own Wendy Weathers the prestigious  President’s Pro Bono Service Award for her work in the 9th Judicial District including Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Westchester counties.
 
Wendy is being honored for her volunteer work for Legal Services of the Hudson Valley, including preparing and filing Chapter 7 bankruptcy petition and schedules, assisting with 341 total hearings in 2016, and obtaining discharges of Chapter 7 cases. She also provides bankruptcy training for other attorneys.

Wendy is Senior Managing Attorney in our firm in charge of our Litigation, Consumer Bankruptcy and Short Sale Departments. She concentrates her practice in the area of foreclosure defense and litigation, working to empower litigation teams to develop legal strategies in foreclosure defenses in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
 
Wendy is a member of the State Bar’s House of Delegates, and has earned degrees from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and City University of New York Law School at Queens College.
