Foreclosure NY/NJ Attorney:

Location: Cabanillas & Associates, P.C. - White Plains, NY

Description: We are seeking a highly motivated Spanish-speaking Foreclosure Defense and Consumer Bankruptcy Associate Attorney admitted in New York and New Jersey for our Litigation Department located in White Plains, New York. This is a full-time position. 


  • Interpreting laws.

  • Interpreting legislation or regulations.

  • Analyzing data, legal questions and existing evidence or facts.

  • Drafting legal documents.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Must have a Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.

  • Must be admitted to practice law in New York and in New Jersey.

  • Must have at least 2-3 years experience in representing either banks or borrowers in Foreclosure cases, including foreclosure settlement conferences, case management conferences and mediations.

  • Must be capable of handling all aspects of foreclosure defense litigation.

  • Must be able to prepare pleadings, motions, and briefs as needed. 

  • Must be able to direct cases through litigation cycle, review new files for coverage, and develop a cost effective defense strategy.

  • Must possess extensive experience in all areas of the foreclosure defense/real estate process and be able to attend court as necessary.

  • Must be a team player, reliable, have interpersonal skills and demonstrate abilities to work directly with clients, develop and execute service strategies, and work under pressure.
